Joanna is a clothing manufacturer from Odesa that has been on the market for eight years and sells women’s, men’s and children’s apparel through its own online store. The range includes dresses, suits, outerwear, tracksuits, homewear, swimwear and a dedicated plus-size line, with seasonal collections and new arrivals added every week. The store serves retail buyers, wholesale clients and dropshipping partners, ships the same day across Ukraine and works in Ukrainian and Russian with prices in UAH and USD. With a large, constantly changing catalogue, the business needed development support that would automate routine work and make the store faster and more convenient to use.

Solution (what we do)
We took over the development of the existing store built on PHP (OpenCart) and worked on it as a long-term technical partner. Alongside larger features, the team handled a steady stream of improvements requested by the business, keeping the store stable while it grew.
- Building an automated parser that collects product and price data from competitor websites, giving the team an up-to-date view of the market without manual research.
- Reworking the catalogue filter for faster, more accurate results across categories, seasons, sizes from XS to 4XL and children’s ages, with correct handling of a large number of attribute combinations.
- Integrating the store with the warehouse system, so stock availability and product data are synchronised automatically instead of being updated by hand.
- Implementing a wide range of smaller improvements: catalogue and product page adjustments, cart and checkout tweaks, multi-currency and bilingual content fixes and performance optimisations.
- Supporting the store’s wholesale, retail and dropshipping workflows in one PHP codebase.
Impact / Result
Joanna’s online store became far less dependent on manual work. Stock data now flows from the warehouse automatically, the team receives market data without searching for it, and customers navigate a large catalogue with a filter that responds quickly and shows accurate results.
This was not a one-off build but continuous development: a series of large automation tasks combined with dozens of smaller refinements delivered over time. Working inside an existing OpenCart codebase, we extended it with custom PHP modules for parsing, filtering and warehouse sync while keeping the live store running without interruption.
